2017 Aerospace Summer Games

LA Robotics invites SoCal robotics team members to participate in the 2017 Aerospace Summer Games held at Dockweiler Beach (near LAX) on Saturday, July 29! The event includes teams from SoCal aerospace companies like SpaceX, Boeing, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, NASA/JPL (and many others) competing in events like beach volleyball, soccer, tug-o-war, human pyramid, etc.

Check out the the event website for more details:

LA Robotics team members (high school students and mentors) will have the opportunity to socialize with engineers and staff in the aerospace industry.

We expect teams with participants under 18 to have at least one adult present throughout the event. There is no cost to attend, but participants will be responsible for their own food and drink.

Free shuttle bus from Boeing Parking Lot P50B (enter at 1601 E Walnut, El Segundo, see map) will be running to/from Dockweiler between 7:30 am until 5:30 pm. Parking at Dockweiler Beach is available ($12.50 per vehicle) and will likely fill in the morning.

Please review rules and appropriate clothing for the scored events: Volleyball, Sand Soccer, Balloon Toss, Tug-O-War, Human Pyramid, Relay Race, Executive Masters, Dodgeball, Watermelon Eating, and Ultimate Frisbee.
